Alternative Real Estate Investment Summit

4 March 2025 | Doltone House Darling Island, Sydney

Where institutional investors, fund managers and operators explore alternatives

About the Event

LIVING I HEALTHCARE I LIFE SCIENCES I DATA CENTRES I AGRICULTURE I RENEWABLES

Real estate has long been a cornerstone of Australian institutional portfolios, but evolving trends are reshaping the landscape. Non-traditional forms of real estate assets are gaining in popularity. This trend is being driven by macroeconomic factors such as urban expansion, the widespread use of technology and an aging population.

These alternative assets have become essential in meeting the evolving needs of the market, something reflected in the total value of Australia’s alternative real estate sector which is estimated at $235 billion – roughly equal to the size of Australia’s retail and logistics sectors combined!

The Alternative Real Estate Investment Summit is a focused one-day event that explores the opportunities, challenges and strategies for investing in alternative assets globally and locally. It has been designed to encourage constructive dialogue between investors, fund managers and consultants to drive better investment outcomes.

As investors increasingly explore real estate opportunities beyond traditional sectors like office, retail, and industrial, the key questions arise: What defines the alternative market? Where are the most significant growth opportunities? Which sectors offer the best risk-adjusted returns? I am delighted to be part of the FuturePlace Alternate Real Estate Investment Summit, where industry leaders will come together to provide a comprehensive roadmap for investing, working, or consulting in this rapidly evolving space.

Adrian Harrington
