An interesting start to Clive’s adult life, he was a hitchhiker for 10 years travelling through Europe and Israel, selling water melons on Greek beaches, growing avocados in Israel and sailing yachts for the rich and famous in Turkey. However, deciding to settle down, he chose a career in Technology. Joining P&O Containers in London as a trainee Systems Analyst in 1989, Clive was quickly promoted to General Manager of the Global Finance Technology department. Clive then left to become the CIO of a Marketing Company (Information for Marketing) but returned to P&O 1 year later to drive the finance systems consolidation created by the merger of P&O and Nedloydd. In 1997, after completing the systems consolidation, Clive moved to Hong Kong as Director of Technology: Asia where he stayed for 3 years, consolidating the disparate IT departments across Asia into a single group based in Australia, where he joined them in 2000 as the Director of Technology Asia Pacific. After 3 years, Clive decided to make Sydney his home and left P&O Nedloydd to start a life here. Working first as a consultant, he took on the role of CIO for Coffey International in 2005. In 2009, Clive was asked to lead the Shared Services initiative for News Limited Australia, bringing to bear his experience in consolidation, change management and off shore outsourcing. Through his 10 years at News Corp, Clive was asked to lead several areas, from Architecture to Shared Services to Customer technologies. Clive then moved to Mirvac to bring his enterprise technology and change management skills to bear in driving the digital transformation of Mirvac Construction.
